The post is from the Daily Express (North Eastern Edition) 28/7/07. Can someone from that area scan the article because I believe Ian Pearson (MP for Dudley) and former Junior minister for Foreign Minister Jack Straw who issued the Ministertial Statement on 31 January 2006) has made a statement in the article.

Unfortunately articles from the Express cannot be found on goggle.

Dear Mr Don Touhig MP Touhigd@parliament.uk

Many thanks to your good self for your question to the Prime Minister to gain support for the veterans “WEARING THE PINGAT JASA MALAYSIA.”

Now Mr Ian Pearson has come out in support of the veterans as well

“MP backing veterans in medal fight.”

Maybe by remembrance day the veterans will be officially allowed to wear the PJM medal on parade to remember all those who did not return from the Malaya Borneo campaigns.

yours sincerely
