Magic Phredd (and Gan).
Tower of London job I'll be bound.
Seems Her Majesty is content withe medal being worn, however, as we all know, its the unelected civil serpents that run things.

You will see that I am wearing both my fathers posthumous medal and my own, I shall be wearing both at Duxford on Sunday, we are also going to break off from our itinery to hopefully be present at The Royal Anglians being presented with their Afghan medals, they have just returned to their base in Norfolk having lost 9 in the last few weeks. Martin Bell an ex Anglian will be in attendance along with the TV crews we hope to be there to give them support!

Thanks for your input. I did not realise you were a member of this site. Sorry for my ignorance on that.
I did read all of the article so I did realise it was your fathers medal.
It was the photo that made me jump with joy, so to speak.
Good luck at Duxford and Martin Bell is a good man. Pester him
My grandson in in the Cheshires, in BAOR at present, in traing for Afghanistan soon.
Stay well mate and once again thanks.

John, On the fairly obvious basis that HM saw the medals, did She make any comment(s)? I presume HM knew what they were. Dave

Yes Dave, she said 'Wots goin' dahn Jon, is this a stitch up, Sir Robin, Sir Robin, Sir Robin has three you might as well have two and wear them wiv pride mate'
I quoted to her The London Gazette article of 1968, thanked her for her understanding, clicked my heels and marched off smartly into the sunset
