Fair points everyone. We remain cautious and vigilant. My position is slightly more optomistic than it was but as I have said to "them" more than once, I'm in for the long haul if needs be.
Never used to be stubborn. (peals of laughter from my better half at that statement).
Ode to the Mandarins:-
"A simple yes, will suffice,
whilst no will unleash thunder,
to let us wear, is only fair,
'cos we know you made a blunder".
Awaits next verse etc. etc.........

A u/turn by yourself and other ministers in support of the veterans against a meanspirted decision by HMG in January 2006 will be most welcome.
George,
Mark Harper has done exactly that.
He is now sympathetic to our cause.

It needs to be continously challenged.
Agreed.
For example, we know they are still putting out the double-medal rubbish.

It beggars belief that so many suits are spending so much time on spinning myths that not even they understand - and nobody else gives a damn about.

Hello All., Reading through the posts, It occurs to me that these "Suits" are incredibly arrogant in the assumption that they know whats best for every body.......they are under the impression they can make up facts as they go along and remain Fireproof......they say"power corrupts"....Rob
