Post PJM PRESENTATION AT HOLYROOD
An historic and unique event took place at the Scottish People’s Parliament, Holyrood, Edinburgh, on Monday, 5th. November, 2007, when the first Pingat Jasa Malaysia was presented there.

Sandra White MSP (SNP) presented to Mrs. Mary Swanson the Pingat Jasa Malaysia awarded posthumously by Malaysia to her late husband, Corporal Peter McGregor Swanson, who served in the RAF in Singapore/Malaya in 1964.

Post The FIRST PJM to be presented at the Scottish Parliament
The FIRST PJM to be presented at the Scottish Parliament, Holyrood, Edinburgh

"mcdangle", who arranged the Edinburgh presentation of her late husband's PJM to Mary Swanson has sent in these three images of that very special occasion together with this initial message:

"Had a great day at the presentation of the Pingat Jasa Malaysia to Mary Swanson at Holyrood, Edinburgh. Brigadier Alstead presented and read out the framed Citation, Sandra White MSP presented the medal and then insisted that I present and read out the letter from the Chairman of the Fight4thePJM. David Hamer, director of RAFA Scotland and Northern Ireland was there and he said he is going to put some of the photographs in the RAFA Magazine - just missed the latest one and the next will be out in three months. We had a great lunch, haggis, neeps and tatties!"

Here are the images:

Brigadier Allan Alstead CBE, DL, MPhil, Mary Swanson and Sandra White MSP

Post Holyrood Presentation.
Splendid happenings and wonderful to see Mary Swanson looking so proud. Great pictures too.

However, McDangle, I see you have broken your cover, while Jim has cleverly kept his intact behind Sandra. What would the "Soldier In The Box" have said about that? Och weel, it was all in a very good cause.

Slainte........MB
