Post More from the Beeb ... It is VITAL that we each vote!
We need your help.

Following the stuniing interest in their last two programmes, BBC Radio Solent has decided to air again the case for the PJM to be worn - it goes out tomorrow during Julian Clegg's Breakfast Show between 06.30 and 08.30 GMT Wednesday 24 January.

So ... tomorrow ... during the program we need people to email and phone in again. It is critical. As many callers/texters/emailers (best all three) as possible - from around the world

If listeners do support the programme in sufficient numbers, then the BBC is going to take this issue to the Foreign Office and to the Cabinet Office - more about that after the show, but it will be fundamental.

All callers need do is to phone or email or text, or all three (best), and say words to the effect that "I support the case for the right to wear the PJM. Most PJMers do not have a British medal and so the PJM is their only acknowledgement of their service in to Malaysia. The PJM is a Commemorative Service Medal and, while civilians can do what they like while the wearing is not policed, most PJMers know that to wear a medal without the Queen's approval is to cause Her a grave discourtesy. So I support them in their fight to wear the medal with honour - alongside their Commonwealth ex-comrades in arms who already have the Queen's approval."

Each caller must only say what they believe and support, of course - and say things in tehir own words. The above is just an idea of the most one need say and so while all would be good (in your own words) - any of those sort of words would be fine. "I support the wearing of the PJM" is fine.

Please vote tomorrow - it is our time, our moment. We need your help to let the world know.

Tel: 0845 30 30 961 (callers will not be questionned) Any difficulties from abroad - I think it is 0044 845 30 30 961 - callers should telephone the switchboard at 0044 2380 631311.

Whether people listen in or not, they can still vote by telephoning, texting or emailing the Julian Clegg Programme any time between 6.30 and 8.30 GMT. You can vote throughout the day, but it's best to do so during the programme.

If people want to listen via the Internet, they can do so if they have Real Player installed. But it is not necessary to be listening ... just to register your vote.

Thank you,

Post You can register your vote all day tomorrow
It has been pointed out that the timing of the BBC programme is not that convenient in the USA or Canada!

But, while it's best between 06:30 and 08:30 jrs GMT, Wed 24 Jan, you can vote all day.

If timing is a difficulty, you can email before you go to bed and again when you rise ... Say what you like but "Please hand this email/text to Julian Clegg and tell him that I support the right to wear the PJM" will do the business. If telephoning, just ask the receptionist to tell Julian you support the PJM.

Please enclose/advise your name and location (full details including telephone number are best but not obligatory). Location (area/country) is important so that the Beeb can assess the scope of interest in this issue.

Many thanks.

Post Radio Solent
I have again phoned them. Sent an email to Julian Clegg and I have asked my contacts in Malaysia (when they wake up in the morning) to see if they could assist.

I am listening to the broadcast, via the Internet, at the moment.

Have already emailed Julian with my support for the cause.

The link we gave was to yesterday's programme.

Post BBC Petition - Keep voting
Please continue to send emails and texts to Radio Solent!

They are assessing the level of support in preparation for a Petition to be taken to the Foreign Secretary, so a one-liner stating your support will be significant.
