 Robin Janvrin
I read in the Sunday Papers that our "Robin" (No Not Redbreast) - although I don't know...
Robin Janvrin, Is hanging up his Robes and retiring in September...The article also makes mention of Robin's analogy of the Royal Family by likening them to a "Jar of Marmite"...This might explain a few things.....On another note I will be in the House of Commons tomorrow Tuesday Lobbying for the Armed Forces Pension Group. I will wear Two Medals....My G.S.M, with Bars for Borneo and Malaya and my........PJM..... and for any body who asks I will hand them a written explanation of our case...
Regards
Terry.....
P.S. I Love Marmite.....

 Marmite
Barry.
The piece I was referring to is in the Mail on Sunday April the 15th on page 20. headed "why the Royals are like a jar of Marmite" Give me a shout if you want me to scan it and forward to you, save you doing what I have just had to do (empty my Rubbish bin) to concur with your request.....
For one and all I was in the House (yes Parliament yesterday) well actually Westminster Hall along with some 300 to 400 other vets, protesting about non eligibility for Pensions prior to the 1975 change of rules on Pensions, apart from myself I saw only 2 other PJM's, you will be interested to know that a number of M.P's asked what the medal was, they were all given written information on the PJM plus a copy of the 1968 piece in the London Gazette....onward and upward, we are making headway in more ways than one...
Regards
Terry...

 In the House.
I remain in contact with Sandra Gidley - I received this from her this morning having updated her about the London Gazette Notice ::
"Thank you - I intend to do more on this in the future but this is not
likely to be before the end of May (unless I strike lucky in the ballot
for a question to the PM) as I am heavily involved with the mental
health bill.

How to nominate someone for an Honour (http://www.honours.gov.uk/nominate.aspxm)
Honours checklist
As any good Oscar nominee will tell you, it really is the nomination that counts. But we're talking about the process here.
To be in with a chance of seeing your candidate on the Honours List, make sure your nomination has what it takes to make it all the way to Buckingham Palace.
Has your nominee:
made a difference to their community or field of work?
brought distinction to British life and enhanced its reputation?
improved the lot of those less able to help themselves?
displayed moral courage and vision in making tough choices and hard applications?
Now you have got to help me here fellow PJM'ers, believe it or not, I am struggling with how these H and D Commitee Civil Serpents get a Honour at all under these guidlines.
Maybe I'll write and ask them............sorry, forgot they don't reply any more.
Maybe I'll ask them under the Freedom of Information Act................
