Pingat jasa Malaysia
OH dear...........The Deputy prime Minister / Minister for Defence , Malaysia ,when pinning on my PJM said......wear it with pride.
As my pride has not waned I have forgotten to take it off.

I was somewhat surprised to see your E Mail....If I remember correctly at the end of the Summer you requested that we drive somewhat silently when approaching Carmarthenshire, being as you all hibernate, what woke you from your drowsey sleep...I have no doubt it was the mere mention of the "PJM".
Regards
Terry.

Just had the same email.
I read the Downing Street reply.
I seem to have read the same words quite a while ago.
Nothing new there then.

That response from No 10 is an excellent example of a reply from a non-listening government driven by civil servants. The end result is more drivel.

Constitutionally, there is no difference between the Prime Minister's signature and the signature of some well paid, golden pensioned and potential OBE/CBE Holding (with little natty brooch included) Civil Servant, replying on his behalf (even if he doesn't know).
NB.
HOW TO BE A CIVIL SERVANT (www.civilservant.org.uk
"The Number 10 Policy Unit contains a mixture of Special Advisers and permanent civil servants. Individuals within the unit can be very influential. You should therefore work closely with the member of the unit assigned to shadow your department,
whenever your subject comes to their attention. Equally, however, don’t automatically assume that any one individual in the unit is speaking on behalf of the unit, or on behalf of the Prime Minister. They may well be doing so, but they may also be giving their own views which may not be shared by others". ?????????????????????????????
Nuffsaid!

Response from No 10
Back on line at last. I can see there has been a great deal of activity for me to catch up on.
Got my reply as well. I cannot repeat what I said when I read it. (Knowing what tender souls we all are)

And I'll be wearing my PJM with pride, when marching with the RSL on the ANZAC Day March here in Townsville.

And I'll be wearing my ANZAC Day and Legacy Fund Lapel pins on Friday and Saturday.
I had hoped to be in France, at the Australian Memorial in Villers Bretonneux, on both those days but the vital PJM lobby meeting with the Veterans Minister in London at the Ministry of Defence intervened. I have no regrets, but tomorrow I shall do what I always do ... remember ... on ANZAC Day.
Here is an image that I took at another location in France - at the Memorial next to VC Corner Cemetery, Fromelles. Yet another action that must never be forgotten (why not Google the action at Fromelles ...).
There are no VC's buried in that cemetery - but if you read about the action you may have views on who else should have been interred there!
