John,
I believe that this picture illustrates the normal thinking attitude of these eminent persons
rather than any sycophantic activity!
Cheers,
David

 Dubious Relatives (Off Subject)
Barry, as you know, I am a staunch right wing local politician who thinks that the present Tory Party is too far to the left for my liking. I am in fact a dedicated Thatcherite!
You also know that my main hobby is genealogy and I am doing the most in depth one name study of the Ireland's of Fife and Scotland (my family). Can you imagine my horror yesterday when I found that one of my relatives is a rabib new labourite of whom I have nought but contempt! Such was my horror that I nearly took my computer into the yard and reshaped it with a lump hammer. I poured myself a stiff g & t wiped my eyes and tried hard to compose myself but alas, I found that most difficult, I am inconsolable.
Charles Falconer (Lord Falconer of very dubious Solicitor General fame) is my sixth cousin!!*~*! How can you live that down.

Miserable of Calne,
Cheer up.
You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relatives.
You chose us!

John,
Even worse than being related to Charlie Falconer, my mother's maiden name is Ireland from Carronbridge, Dumfriesshire. Sorry to suggest it but we could also be somewhat related. Andy.

I hope so, I have just today connected the USA line to the Fife and Perth line plus the Edinburgh line. These also stretch into all the counties of Scotland plus Australia and New Zealand so I have come to the conclusion that there are no more than 4 Ireland lines and that is based upon the science of genetics.
Get me all the family details that you can back to before 1901 and I will have a look for you.
